  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, making sure to mix well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add in the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

And here's your baking tip for this recipe: To prevent your pound cake from sticking to the pan, make sure to grease the pan well with butter or cooking spray, and then line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper. This will ensure that your cake comes out of the pan easily and in one piece.
